At first glance, a HubSpot website audit score of 82.56 looks strong. That's well above the industry average of 57/100. HubSpot's homepage loads in 367ms over HTTPS, their design is polished, and they clearly understand conversion fundamentals — forms, CTAs, and social proof are all present.
But the free preview score only tells part of the story.
The Deep Audit: HubSpot's Hidden Gaps

The Nine-Signal Gap
The biggest drag on HubSpot's HubSpot SEO grade is the Depth Analysis — a battery of 9 specific HTML signals that test for conversion and trust fundamentals. HubSpot passed only 3 out of 9.
What HubSpot is missing:
- No visible phone number on the homepage (mobile visitors can't tap-to-call)
- Schema markup is absent or minimal
- No booking or calendar widget detected
- Chat widget presence is unclear

The gap between HubSpot's preview score (82.56/B) and its deep audit score (54/F) teaches an important lesson: surface-level SEO grades can be misleading.
A high-level HubSpot website audit from most tools will check the basics — HTTPS, response time, mobile rendering — and give a passing grade. But a proper HubSpot SEO grade needs to dig into:
